The Door Of Mercy Wide Open

Today at St. Peter’s Square, Pope Francis held a General Audience and spoke on the topic prayer to maintain a stronger connection to God (full text, full video, summary video). Also during the audience, he asked people to pray for various causes. Moreover from the audience, here’s a good video of Pope Francis meeting with Oscar Camps, founder of Proactiva Open Arms who during the audience gave him the life jacket of a drowned Syrian girl (article link), a good video about two children who were blessed by Pope Francis during the audience, and a good video about the executive producer of the movie Risen meeting Pope Francis, also. Additionally, he greeted in sign language a group of deaf pilgrims.

Of messages, today Pope Francis sent message to a conference on “Defending Life: the perinatal hospice as a scientific, ethical and human response to prenatal diagnosis” held at the Agostino Gemelli University Hospital, Rome (full text in Italian). Additionally, he sent a video message for the 100th “Catholic Day” in Germany (full text in Italian & German, extensive text in English). As well, he sent a tweet:

With the weapons of love, God has defeated selfishness and death. His son Jesus is the door of mercy wide open to all. (link)
