This evening for the solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord, Pope Francis presided and gave an address at the prayer vigil to “Dry the Tears” in St Peter’s Basilica for everyone in need of consolation (full text, full video, summary video).
Of messages, he sent letter to Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro regarding the economic situation there.
Also today, Pope Francis made an appointment, sent a tweet:
The Lord consoles us. We are all called to comfort our brothers and sisters, to testify that God alone can eliminate the causes of tragedies. (link)
