Today overlooking St. Peter’s Square, Pope Francis gave a Regina Coeli Address on signs of the presence of the Holy Spirit (full text, full video, summary video). Also in the address, he made a plea for an end to violence in Syrian city of Aleppo. Additionally, he greeted those in the Orthodox Churches who are celebrating Easter today. Of the address, I liked how he suggested addressing the Holy Spirit itself for assistance:
For example, when every day you read a passage of the Gospel — as I have recommended to you — ask the Holy Spirit: “That I might understand and that I might remember these words of Jesus.” And after reading a passage, every day … but first, make that prayer to the Spirit, who is in our hearts: “That I might remember and that I might understand.”
Also, he made an appointment, sent a tweet:
I address a cordial greeting to the faithful of the Eastern Churches who are celebrating Holy Pascha today. (link)
and made a post to Instagram:
And that’s the Pope Francis news for the day!
