Serving you the (nearly) daily Pope Francis news

Written In Heaven

Today at St. Peter’s Square, as part of the Jubilee for Boys and Girls, a group one hundred and fifty priests heard confessions from teenagers, and Pope Francis joined them in the square hearing confessions from approximately 16 teenagers. Also there is a really really good interview of one of the young people who gave confession to Pope Francis.

Of messages, in the evening, young people gathered at the Olympic Stadium in Rome for the Jubilee of the Boys and Girls and Pope Francis sent video message to them (full text). As well, he sent a letter to Cardinal Rainer Woelki, Archbishop of Köln, as his Special Envoy to the concluding celebration of the octave of our Lady comforter of the afflicted’s 350th anniversary of election as Patron Saint of Luxembourg, scheduled for May 1st, 2016 (full text in Latin).

And today, he made some appointments (details in Italian with the correct date), sent a tweet:

Dear Young Friends, your names are written in heaven in the merciful heart of the Father. Be brave and go against the tide! (link)

and posted to Instagram:

Each time we go to confession, God embraces us. God rejoices! #Mercy, #catholic (link)

And that’s the Pope Francis news for the day!
