To Proclaim To Everyone The Love Of God

Today Pope Francis received in audience Jean-Claude Michel, ambassador of the Principality of Monaco, and the International Council of Christians and Jews (full text, summary video).

Today Pope Francis went and visited Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI before the Pope Emeritus departed for a two week vacation at the papal villa of Castel Gandolfo (summary video). Relatedly for this summer, it was announced today that outside of his Sunday Angelus addresses and his voyage to South America, Pope Francis’ll be having a much reduced schedule, especially in July – he’s taking a little “stay-cation” for the month of July.

Also, Pope Francis sent on the occasion of the funeral of the Patriarch of Cilicia of the Armenians, his beatitude Nersès Bédros XIX Tarmouni, a message which was read by Cardinal Leonardo Sandri at the funeral (extensive text in English, full text).

Pope Francis’ prayer intentions for July, were released, for “a high form of charity” in all political circles, and for love and fraternity in South America.
