Today Pope Francis sent message of condolences to the Assyrian Church of the East at the passing of Patriarch Mar Dinkha IV (full text). He sent message to flood victims in Chile and Peru offering his prayers and exhorting good will (full text). And he sent a letter to Carmelite Superior General, Father Xavier Cannistrà to mark the 500th anniversary of the birth of St. Teresa of Avila (full text).
And Pope Francis made an appointment, and sent a tweet:
As disciples of Christ, how can we not be concerned for the good of the weakest? (link)
As well today, I imagine Pope Francis still might be working away at his encyclical and probably had been doing lots of preparations for Holy Week.
And that’s the Pope Francis news for the day!
