The biggest news right now: Yesterday, Pope Francis made a surprise visit to a Jesuit dinner celebrating the Feast of Saint Ignatius.
I haven’t really covered many of Pope Francis’ tweets, but I’ll work on being on that a bit more. Also yesterday, Pope Francis tweeted:
“May each family rediscover family prayer, which helps to bring about mutual understanding and forgiveness.”
So super cool. Family prayer in general is something that can heal and keep families strong together. And in the larger family of Christians, too. :) I love Pope Francis!
Out and about, there are also some interesting Pope Francis-related articles abounding:
• Pope Francis’ perspectives on why people might not always seem to follow God
• How Pope Francis and Benedict have influenced a growing prominence of women and laypeople in general in the Roman Catholic church
• And though I’m not a big follower of the Roman Catholic blogosphere, it appears that Pope Francis’ influence has been interpreted many ways out in the blogosphere.
And that’s the Pope Francis news for the day!
